Responsibilities:
Plan and manage internal and external processing
activities such as non-destructive testing, machining and welding
processes. Read prints to ensure required information is stated
appropriately. Initiated, developed and implemented new Bill of Materials
(BOM) and trained engineers on the authoring, entering and evaluation of
BOMs along with providing technical assistance to shop foreman for testing
valve production for on time delivery.
Administered with change of catalogues with new drawings
and testing procedures. Provided feedback to inside sales and end user with
technical information on various products. Calculation used and provide for
testing of new and existing valve products for the National Board of Pressure
Vessels Section 8. Using 3D parametric drawing
software for creating new and improved products for manufacturing line, and
updated existing drawings and printouts for manufacturing.

Responsibilities:
Perform
audit, testing and analysis of material and in R & D Lab such as
leakage testing, chemical compatibility,
provide recommendations based on customer design requirements of other
plastic, PCTEF Jackets and Metal energizers to be NACE MR01-075 approved
alloys for use in sour gas service. fluoropolymer compounds qualified to
NORSOK M710 and to API 6A F.1.13 specifications.
Recommend
approved suppliers for various components in order to find a quicker less
expensive alternate for quicker lead times for customers.
Provide
fast, accurate technical response of product information to DSM and all
other customers included but not limited to inside sales, shop personnel,
purchasing department and many other departments.
Daily
MRB meetings consisting of large to small issues on products for various
customers consisting of blemishes to wrong clean spec. imperfections of
machining on final product to wrong finished color on part and many others.
Approve
and recommend design changes and methods as well as ECO request. Follow all
EHS and maintain all safety regulations in office as well as on the shop
floor. Report any and unsafe hazardous material, keep up to date with all
safety changes and meetings. Follow all PPE (Protective Property Equipment)
at all times with safety glasses, earplugs, hard hats, steel toes, and
clothing.
Use
of 3D Solidworks modeling for more complex assemblies. 2D for much for
simple designs using Autocad. Providing customer with submittal drawings as
well as some RFQ and data sheets for their specific applications.
Special
injection molded elastomers for use in conjunction as a back-up ring, seal
and to serve as a special seals in seats and nozzles. Various materials for
the injection molded include FKM, nitrile, buna, PCTFE and other various
material specified by customer as required.
Travel
with DSM (District Sales Manager) to customer sites to help with technical
questions and to trouble shoot problems for customer onsite and answer
questions for design of application feasibility. Perform fea analysis

VIII ASME coded valves for special customers (Chevron, Shell, NASA,)
Responsible for various
engineered to order valve BOM (Bill of Materials) configurations for each
individual product line (high pressure pilot operated pressure relief
valves (HPP)), Automatic Recirculation Valves (ARC) a.k.a pump protectors,
Direct Spring Operated valves, and pressure containing tank valves (Varec,
Anderson Greenwood, Crosby, Yarway).
Pentair Lean Manufacturing
(Pentair Integrated Management System (PIMS)) working closely with Lean Six
Sigma Black Belts establishing Processes for Corporate present and future
employees in Engineering/Internal Sales.
Performing daily Gemba walks
to help minimize waste and help improve production within office and shop
floor.
Prepare daily written SQDCC,
Pareto Charts and verbal synopsis to managerial committee to keep and
maintain production flow.
Works closely with S.A.P
Material Master/Stewards with materials/part creation to help maintain and
answer question as a S.A.P ERP Super User to entire Engineering
Dept.
Review
project and order specifications to determine design criteria and special
requirements. Translates specification requirements into drawings, bills of
material, procedures, and instructions for use in the production of various
products.
Maintains a
working knowledge of all Codes and Standards applicable to the assigned
product lines. Reviews Code addenda and documents changes affecting Pentair
products.
Prepares and
maintains project files for sales orders. Provides engineering support and
expertise as required for the project through the manufacturing, assembly,
and testing process.
Assigned special circumstantial duties as requested
by the Engineering Manager, Engineering Supervisor in help aiding customers
and their questions, and concerns on how to use S.A.P in various corporate
manufacturing facilities of Pentair
